Monday, November 12, 2007 at 6:30 P.M. General Membership meeting of the Riverside County Democratic Central Committee.  The meeting will take place at Millie's Restaurant, Sunnymead Blvd, Moreno Valley.

 

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 15th, 2007:  The General Membership Meeting of Democrats of Greater Riverside social hour from 6-7:00; meeting at 7:00 pm.  The meeting is held at Mexicali Bar and Grill, located at 1690 Spruce Street (Corner of Chicago & Spruce Street); Riverside, Ca.  The telephone number is 951-781-6682.  We are hoping that, for those members who can, we can arrive by about 5:30 pm in order to have our food and beverages ordered, served, and mostly enjoyed prior to the beginning of the meeting.  This will assist with noise distraction, etc.

Monday, November 26, 2007 at 6:30 P.M. Executive Board meeting of the Riverside County Democratic Central Committee.  The meeting will take place at Millie's Restaurant, Sunnymead Blvd, Moreno Valley.

 

November 26, 2007 at 7:30 P.M.  meeting of the Democratic Club of Claremont will feature as speaker Claudia Strauss, Associate Professor of Anthropology at Pitzer College.  Dr. Strauss will address this topic, "Framing a progressive Democratic message: My fieldwork in North Carolina." Dr. Claudia Strauss is an expert on political communication. Her book, A Cognitive Theory of Cultural Meaning, was published by Cambridge University Press in 1997. She received her doctor's degree from Harvard University in 1988. Her anthropology of North Carolina voters offers an unusual and timely examination of social and political attitudes in red states.The meeting will take place in Porter Hall on the Pilgrim Place campus in Claremont. Porter Hall is most easily accessed from Berkeley Way and 6th Street in Claremont. It is on the west side of Berkeley Way. Porter Hall's three arches are clearly visible through the second gate. There is plenty of free parking, and no steps to climb.
